Rosneft Revolux – A new engine oil product line

RN-Lubricants, a subsidiary of Rosenft, has unique scientific, technological and production capabilities. The company produces its synthetic and mineral base oils as well as additives. Many years of experience in developing and selling commercial vehicle oils have contributed to the launch of Revolux technology, which has become a foundation  for a commercial vehicle line.

Revolux technology was developed based on a thorough study on operational conditions of modern engines. The study was aimed to maximize engine’s reliability and lifespan. From the analysis on the property changes that occur during operation and statistical data on reasons for equipment failure, we have defined three most important functions in engine oils: resistance to oxidation, stable viscosity, and anti-wear properties. 

Therefore, Revolux technology was created with an emphasis on the following three functions:

1. Oxidation resistance

Rosneft has capacity to manufacture synthetic base stocks with up-to-date technologies. These synthetic base stocks are used in all Revolux oils, which offer considerably higher anti-oxidant properties compared to the operational standards. Strong resistance against oxidation can prevent high and low temperature deposits. As a result, you can maintain a clean engine for your vehicles and machinery.

2. Stable viscosity

Revolux oils are produced with a unique viscosity modifier called Revolux SV, which has excellent resistance against destruction. This modifier has been developed to keep a stable viscosity under harsh operational conditions. It also protects your engine during prolonged operation at high loads.

3. Anti-wear properties

Rosneft has more than 10 R&D institutions, in which complex laboratory and bench tests are being conducted. Revolux technology was created with additives providing maximum anti-wear properties. Therefore, all Revolux products can increase the service life of your engine. Furthermore, Revolux technology was aimed to obtain the optimal characteristics of commercial vehicle oils, and was not limited to reach the threshold requirements of the manufacturers.

Rosneft Revolux D5 is a line of premium engine oils produced with a unique Revolux technology. It is designed for use in high-power pollution-free diesel engines of the leading American and European manufacturers that require API CJ-4 and ACEA E9 specifications and Euro VI or lower environmental standards. Rosneft Revolux D5 oils are compatible with all types of exhaust aftertreatment systems such as diesel particulate filter (DPF), selective catalytic reduction (SCR), exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), and thus prolong their service life. The oils are approved by the global manufacturers.

The oils are approved by the global manufacturers.
